“Tripped Inside Again”

TY TABOR is one of those musicians that,
while never quite becoming a certifiable
household
name,
is
instantly
recognizable to musicians in the know.
Through the course of 35 years and over a
dozen albums with his main outfit, the
Texas power trio KING’S X, and just a few
less records under his solo belt (not even
counting numerous other guest spots and
ongoing collaborative projects like
PLATYPUS and THE JELLY JAM), the
guitarist has carved an equal slice of
respect from mainstream rock fans and
progressive-minded elite alike. Lauded
for his distinctive and discriminating
sense of tone and phrasing, coupled with
a Beatle-esque knack for crafting a
candy-coated melody, Tabor’s easily one
of the most inventive songwriters and
players in contemporary hard rock.
For the past 17 years, alongside his
KING’S X, solo, and various other works,
Tabor’s been actively involved with his
own ALIEN BEANS STUDIO in Texas, where
he’s done primarily mastering work for
himself and outside artists alike. In
addition to his latest solo recording,
2013’s “Nobody Wins When Nobody
Plays”, he’s also just released a DVD done
at Alien Beans, appropriately titled
“Almost Live From Alien Beans Studio”,
