In “Dark Knights”, Doom Metal guitars connect in an interesting way with the operatic vocals and clear
rhythmic section, providing an amazing mix of Dark Metal with Black Metal (DIMMU BORGIR influences).
“Invocation” is rich with dark moodiness.
My favorite track is the longest track on EP “The Beast Will Come” which lasts over 12 minutes. With its
THERION influences, this song is the perfect mix of Doom, with its changing rates coupled with operatic
singing. This song melds wonderful element of keys and vocals with the choir in the background. I found it
hypnotizing!
Summing up, this EP of MOREOR is very well done. The tracks present many elements: Dark, Doom, Gothic,
Electro, Lyrical, Operatic vocals and Symphonic Metal—something for everyone. I will be watching for future
offerings by this eclectic group. Generally, their music would be appreciated by listeners of THERION,
DIMMU BORGIR or SATYRICON and for every fan that embraces depth in music.
