Kaz Hawkins’ life has been a whirlwind since she appeared on our February
2017 cover in an article by Editor Kiki Plesha (photos by JB Bridges). After
placing in the semi-finals of the International Blues Challenge in Memphis,
she went on to win the coveted European Blues Challenge. Additionally, Kaz
just wrapped on a piano and vocal album titled “Don't You Know”, set to be
released on July 22nd in Belfast—and additionally produced a video and
single benefiting the charity Aware NI, for which Kaz serves as an
ambassador. Alongside touring in Europe and UK, she commanded the
airwaves with a 6 week series on BBC Radio called “Kaz Hawkins Got The

Since appearing on our March 2017 cover, Darrell Harwood reports that
2017 is proving to be a great year for the much sought-after country artist—
and he is busy as ever—and is still maintaining a demanding schedule of
around 100 shows a year! He shares that he’ll be performing at the Carolina
Country Music Festival in Myrtle Beach on June 8 th , sharing the stage with
some of the “heavy-hitters” of country music. He also continues with his
charitable pursuits--on September 23rd, he’ll be organizing his first music
festival, benefitting LLS (Leukemia and Lymphoma Society) to help raise

This April 2017 feature story spotlighting multi-dimensional artist, Ryche
Chlanda, was authored by Art Director/Journalist Jay Petsko. We’ve caught
up with Ryche and found him to be doing well after a brief health scare. We
are delighted to report that Ryche is currently working on some new music
that will probably debut at some of the live shows that he has coming up in
the early summer. We listened to a new cut called "Disconnected". The
song is very “Floydian”, with introspective lyrics and Ryche's
signature/virtuosity. Be looking for an early winter release, with new songs

Although having just appeared on our May 2017 cover and inside the pages
in a feature by our own Jere Perry, Cape Coral, Florida’s Newmachine has
not slowed down in their career pursuits. They recently released their full-
length CD “Karma”, finished up a short tour run, and are now getting ready
for another, much longer, much-anticipated tour run. Along with the release
of the new album with HighVol Music, they have additionally launched their
first music video for the single, “Hell to Pay”--filmed on location in
