The 10th of February was a sunny day in beautiful London as Photographer IAN STRINGER and I arrived at the club THE
UNDERWORLD for the XANDRIA, SERENITY and JADED STAR show. We were a little early...as there was an interview pending
with MARCO HEUBAUM, guitarist for Xandria, and GEORG NEUHAUSER, vocalist for Serenity. Both interviews went off without
a hitch. We talked around 20 minutes with both musicians—all the while, Ian snapped photos. Both Marco and Georg were
gracious and forthcoming with their responses (you can check out their interviews in this issue). In order of appearance on
the evening’s line up were: Jaded Star, Serenity and Xandria.
Jaded Star is a Melodic female-fronted Metal band from Greece that set the tone for this fantastic evening of music. Vocalist
MAXI NIL (ex VISIONS OF ATLANTIS) is an exceptional vocalist, who is showcased by powerful guitars and excellent
musicianship. They performed their tracks from their debut album “Memories From The Future”, released in April of
2015...and left me wanting more! Quite impressive! This Greek band was the perfect support band for the next two bands,
Serenity and Xandria.

Next to take the stage was the band Serenity, a Symphonic Power Metal band from Austria. The band just released their fifth
album “Codex Atlanticus”. Their show was pure power—causing my heart to beat faster and occasionally, skip a beat from the
adrenaline! They had a great repoire with their audience and it was apparent that their fans were in attendance in abundance
in the crowd. The vocals of Georg were complimented by guest female vocalist, NATASCHA KOCH (aka Tasha). They presented
a memorable set of energetic songs served with an electric stage presence.
