LaconiaFest, will be roaring into town--the biggest, bodaciously-badass festival to ever infiltrate New
Hampshire!
And it’s only fitting that Tyler would be a focal point of the festivities—he is a beloved staple in New
Hampshire and has a longtime connection to the area. In addition to spending his childhood summers
in Lake Sunapee, it is also where he met the members of the Joe Perry Jam Band--which later evolved
into Aerosmith. And with his well-publicized passion for the open road, LaconiaFest is a natural fit for
Tyler—for he is the cofounder and partner of the motorcycle brand of custom bikes, Dirico Motorcycles;
launching the bike biz In September 2007.
Enter ION Indie Magazine—the fastest growing independent music magazine today. ION is pleased to
announce that they will be joining forces with LaconiaFest as Official Media Partner, and will be bringing
to its readers in depth coverage of--not all legends such as Steven Tyler, Ted Nugent, Bret Michaels--but
all of the prestigious musical guests that are set to sizzle the stages of LaconiaFest. But the magazine
is quick to point out that the magazine is equally excited to explore the many talented up-and-coming
independent artists that are appearing on the LaconiaFest stages, for they are the heartbeat of the
publication.
According to Kiki Plesha, CEO and Editor-in-Chief, “Festivals such as LaconiaFest are to be applauded—
not only for bringing exceptional entertainment to music fans by presenting such iconic artists like
Steven Tyler, but for also providing the opportunity for so many of the ‘unsung musical heroes’—the
independent artists and bands—to have their moments in the sun. I am confident that LaconiaFest will
prove to be a great source for discovering some of the best and brightest indie talent for our future
editions of ION Indie Magazine.”
ION Indie Magazine will hit the ground running—from the first note on June 11th, to the final bow on June
19th. Senior Photojournalists for the publication, Mark Myers and Dan Johnson, will be on hand
reporting on the event—whose lineup includes many ION alumni: Lita Ford, Leaving Eden, Cross The
Divide, Saving Abel, Adelitas Way, Another Lost Year, and of course, Buckcherry.
Weirs Beach Drive-in, Laconia, New Hampshire, will be serving as the stomping ground for the muchanticipated first-year festival--which besides the impressive headliners, boasts over 100 of the hottest
