PUDDLE OF MUDD Despite a recent rash of incidents, and alleged continuing issues with front man, WES SCANTLIN, PUDDLE OF MUDD continues its cross country tour, with a recent tour stop at ZIGGY’S in Winston Salem, NC. While Wes, has a reputation for being hard to talk to, hard to deal with and sometimes is very temperamental, I got the chance to sit down with Wes, for about 30 minutes during their sound checks, and was pleasantly surprised to find a super nice, outgoing and very friendly guy. While it was more of a conversation, than an interview, he did talk about his love for being out on the road, working on new material, and the re-forming of the band with a basically all new lineup. With permission from Wes, I was fortunate enough to be the ONLY photographer that night allowed in the photo pit. While the original set list they were supposed to play had 14 songs, they actually only did about 8--although they did manage to pull off all their hits they're well known for. All in all, I was thrilled to finally see these guys live as I've been a longtime fan, and certainly appreciated the opportunity to meet and talk to Wes.
