MM to Zac: Who are your influences--besides your Dad, obviously? Zac: Any drummer is an influence to me. I find influence just watching how they play. MM to Zac: It’s not easy learning double bass pedal on your own. Zac: It’s not, but it’s something I did every day. I would come home from school and just play drums. I took lessons for about two weeks and realized I could sit at home and learn this by myself. My dad used to play Heavy Rock and Metal. When I was 8 or 9, I used to play in his bands. He would get up to go to the bathroom and come back and I would be playing his songs. One of my strengths is that I can just listen to a song and play it back without ever practicing it, just because that’s how I taught myself. MM to Zac: Is it just a matter of time before VIC FIRTH gives you your own sticks? Zac: I’ve been working on it. MM to Zac: Describe Anaria. Zac: If I were to describe Anaria, I would say we are like a ticking time bomb waiting to go off. Or in other words, with our new album “Inception”, Anaria will soon be exploding in exposure and fame! We have worked and are still continuing every day to work our hardest to share with the world what we have created and what we've become! In my eyes, Anaria is like no other band. We have the commitment, the passion and the sound to be the “next big thing” touring the world! This is only the beginning for us and there is no telling where we will end up, but I hope it ends with me in shining lights behind my drum kit and left with a million memories of Anaria's journey to fame! MM to Zac: You get one paragraph to describe Zac Paquette…go: Zac: Being the drummer of Anaria has made my dream of always wanting to be a Rock star a reality! Throughout the younger stages of life, people will ask you, “What do you wanna be when you grow up?” I would always reply in saying I want to play drums and be a Rock star. Most people see that as just a dream, but I see it as a goal! If you get to know me personally, you'll learn that I have the drive, devotion and talent to accomplish and overcome anything that gets in my way of success! Behind the drum kit is where I belong and it's where I'm gonna stay till I get where I wanna be! MM to Chad: Describe Anaria. Chad: Anaria for me is a little different--how I feel than the rest of the band and here's why: At first, I was only a backup guitarist for the band. Then I was a fill-in until they found a permanent guitarist. So at first, the band was kinda like a part time job and I felt like a studio musician. But the more I played with them, the more I felt like it was something more and I was gonna be with them longer than a fill-in. Dan had offered me the full time position of guitarist and the end of August last year I took that position and I'm glad I did. It means a few things to me…from everything said before…it's the start of another journey in one of my biggest passions in my life, but also making some amazing friends. So Anaria means family, friends and our lives. MM to Chad: You get to tour with any band…who would it be? Chad: WITHIN THE RUINS. MM to Chad: What band is getting the most play on your iPod right now? Chad: WITHIN THE RUINS. MM to Chad: Describe Chad Niles. Chad: Well, I am a creative person--not only do I play music, I am also an artist. I’m easy to get along with and for the most part laid back. And I’m gonna have to say a “nerd”, haha. I'm a gamer--both console and table top--more in the cards sense. By that I mean, MAGIC THE GATHERING, haha. But I like all types of games.
