The talented tandem of guitarists CHAD NILES and DAN SPINNEY round out the band with some great fretwork--neither one
overshadowing the other, but teaming to produce the unique sound of Anaria.
It would be tough for me to label or describe this album without sounding a bit too cliché. The words “angelic”; to describe a
voice, “thunderous”; to describe a bass guitar, or “melodic” and “symphonic”; to describe the guitars--have all been used
before--probably way too much. But here, these adjectives really work! Listen to the track “Covet”, turn up the volume and I
guarantee that when asked, you’ll use these words to describe this music.
Take NIGHTWISH (from the TARJA TURUNEN era), EPICA and EVANESCENCE, blend them with the pen of lyricist Jessica
Jackson and the melodic artistry of Chad, Kevin, Dan and Zac…you get Anaria.
It’s difficult to impress on our readers with some decorum and etiquette, just HOW good this album and this band is when you
just want to shout, “Holy sh!t, these guys are awesome!”
