I caught up with Blackie Bishop and Drew and asked them a few questions: Dr. X: It seems like every time I pass the church door, I’m always hearing something new. When you guys write, is there a set process that works for you? Drew: For me it's pretty much music first, then lyrics. My heart pours out music, and then I have to take that expression and put it into words/lyrics. Blackie Bishop: Depends on the deity present in the room! Usually music. Dr. X: You guys have written and published lots of songs. Is there one that stands out for you? Drew: Every single song there is a connection of equal magnitude, but not necessarily of equal emotion. Dr. X: I know you have done a few regional tours. How do you feel about touring in general and its importance? Drew: Need to tour. Touring is a must in order to spread your presence. Independent seems to be the way to go. Unless there was a major label out there that signed you for YOU and didn't try to change your sound or take away your creative control...bwwwaaahahahaaha!
