“The acrylic coating is pretty tough. It’s rare
that I break one. Some people find them
interesting, but really they’re just tools of the
trade.”
If they’re not asking about his nails, fans are
asking Dylan when he is going to tour.
“Touring is the obvious way to make money
and promote my music, but it really isn’t part
of the picture right now. I’m a stay-at-home
dad. My son is 3 ½ and he’s my focus. I want
to watch him grow up, have breakfast with
him and get to know his friends.”
Originally from Melbourne, Australia, and
now living in Toronto, Dylan takes gigs
around Ontario. “When I’m not composing
and recording, I’m teaching. I conduct
lessons over Skype. I have students in
Singapore, Australia, and London and all
over the States. It’s a lot of fun talking about
music and sharing something that has been
a wonderful gift to me. I view it similarly to
teaching a “language”, to hopefully give
someone the tools to express themselves in
a way they weren’t previously able to and
possibly create something beautiful.”
