MM: Musically, what is your ultimate goal? BC: I just want to be able to make a living writing and performing the kind of music that I like. I’m not looking to make millions of dollars and be on TMZ. I just want to make my mark as an artist, and be able to support myself by doing so. I also don’t want to be just a hired gun for other bands. I hope to be able to get some recognition as a songwriter and an artist, rather than just a guitar player. I try to make my music deeper than just guitar solos. I definitely went through the phase that many guitarist do, wanting to be the “fastest gun in the west.” I’m finally at the point wear I realize that the guitar solo does not make the song, and that what you are saying in the song is the most important part. I want to be able to connect with the audience with my songs.
