Joe Walsh is no stranger to standing in front of massive crowds during his tenure--which spans over 40 years-with bands such as THE JAMES GANG and THE EAGELS. Here's a little fun fact: almost one year to the date, I shot The Eagles in El Paso, and now, Joe in The Big Easy--both shows on Memorial Day weekend! Joe came out close to 9:30, and in my opinion, got off to a rather slow start, hence everyone was still in their seats. But that didn't last long! With classic hits like "Funk 49", "Rocky Mountain Way" and "Life’s Been Good". Putting the icing on the cake was his tribute to his old friend GLENN FRYE—along with those Eagles’ classics--set the crowd on their ears. All in all, it was a show that took me on a serious trip down memory lane, for this is the type of music that I grew up on in the ‘70s—a time when groups like LED ZEPPELIN, GRAND FUNK RAILROAD and BLACK OAK ARKANSAS ruled the airwaves. Bad Company and Joe Walsh both are a part of that iconic list…and for this reason I consider myself blessed to have covered this type of show. If this tour graces your town and you too want that trip down memory lane, this is a must-see show. I can promise you that you will not be sorry!
