Story and Photography by Timothy Schumann I remember right where I was in 1974 when I first heard the song "Bad Company" by the group BAD COMPANY. I thought to myself, “This is some really great stuff!”--and have kept that same mindset for the past 42 years. It was my sheer pleasure last month on the 26th to cover the show here in New Orleans at Champion Square, but not only Bad Company, but also, the great JOE WALSH was on the bill! This was my kind of crowd--everyone in their 50s, reliving days of old and needless to say, everyone got their money’s worth! Bad Company has been around since ’73, with the only original members left being PAUL RODGERS, MICK RALPHS (whom I saw with MOTT THE HOOPLE) and SIMON KIRKE. They have delivered 12 studio albums in 22 years…and this goes unsaid…anything by Bad Company remains to this day as a staple on any classic rock radio station. Paul and the boys had this crowd on their feet during the entire set with songs like "Good Lovin' Gone Bad", "Feel like Makin' Love" and of course, their anthem, "Bad Company".
