Hang out with enough musicians long enough and you’ll end up with the ability to sort the posers from the
real deal. You’ll be able to spot the truly gifted from the ones that will play back yard keggers and bar
mitzvahs instead of headlining arenas big and small. The ones that go far in this business have all the key
ingredients – work ethic, heart, desire, commitment, passion but it also helps if you’re an insanely gifted
musician.
Up here in the Northeast, those insanely gifted musicians go to Boston’s BERKLEE COLLEGE OF MUSIC.
When you get a chance, do a Google search for “Famous Musicians from Berklee”. What you get is a very
impressive list of very accomplished musicians. Now imagine the band you could put together with just
one or two of these students or graduates. How about a band with four of them?
