guy I knew just a little bit, and he fit in great. He has become a great fit for the band and a good friend. MM: You all are members of a few successful local bands. Can you tell me a little about your musical backgrounds? Jeff Richards: I started playing drums around the age of 10 in school band. I played the snare drum then I gotta taste of Rock ‘n’ Roll and had to get a drum kit. The rest is history. Steve Cyr: I picked up the guitar when I was 12. I originally wanted to play drums but the parents thought guitar would be better. My guitar sat around my room collecting dust for a couple years till I heard some early VAN HALEN and GUNS N’ ROSES. After that I practiced all the time. I got into jazz early on to build up chops, but I mostly play Bluesy Rock stuff these days. Bobby Whitworth: I’m currently a full time member of three bands, DIE DIVA DIE, SOUNDTRACK TO MONDAY and DOCTOR X. Soundtrack to Monday is a Top 40/Rock cover band and plays all over the area. Doctor X is a QUEENSRŸCHE tribute band. That project is challenging because of the material. Weird rhythms, fast riffs, and loads of backing vocals make Doctor X a ton of work and fun! I’m kind of a nerd. I read science fiction and fantasy, study history and mythology with books and podcasts, and also collect dragon and comic/movie figurines. Timmy: No, I don’t want to (laughs). I started learning acoustic guitar from a nun in 5th grade cuz everyone else was playing sports and I hated sports. I started bands when I was 16--learned a lot and played a lot. I gigged a lot, recorded some demos, and even got to play on GARY CHERONE’S TRIBE OF JUDAH record. I also played in a NIN tribute band, tried the Top 40 scene for a while then just quit--till MSW (My Sister Will). MM: What does the future hold for D3? Timmy: Just gigging, fun times, maybe do some more recording, writing…pissing each other off. Jeff: We are looking forward to getting out there and performing songs from our debut album--“The Problem With Her…”; getting tighter as a live act and continue the writing process for more D3 music. MM: Timmy, how did yo RvWBF
