Roughly 45 minutes north of Boston, Massachusetts, you can find a local music scene rife with talent covering all music genres. The scene in Manchester, NH, is loaded with accomplished musicians, most who toil at mundane 9-5 jobs, earning paychecks to spend on “pay-to-play” gigs, guitar strings, amps, Jack Daniels and drum heads. All so they can rock out to the local crowds at night, sometimes as members of two, three or even four bands. They end up becoming legends of the local music scene, our own personal rock stars, if you will. We realize that many may never get to play on a major tour or record on a major level, but we know that when a new band pops up, we may recognize the members from other bands in the area. Right away we know that the new band may be epic, awesome, because we know the players. So what happens when four of these rockers, all veterans of the local music scene, decide to pool their talent and start a band just to do it their way, just to record and play their own music, increasing their chance at getting to the next level? The 4 of us clicked immediately and we carried on with the writing process playing a handful of shows and recorded our debut CD “The Problem with Her….” Steve Cyr: Die Diva Die is an original band out of Manchester made up of some of the craziest dudes I’ve met. There's definitely a good mix of personalities that make writing and playing a lot of fun. Timmy: What about it? (laughing) Well, it started when I was going through a divorce and had been out of the music scene for a while, so my friend Jayce let me join My Sister Will, where I met Jeff, Steve, and also Ryan Gagne-Hall. I think Steve was only a seventeen year old kid at the time. When that band had run its course, we had only tried one new song in a year, all the rest were covers and “Let’s play one of the band’s old songs.” Well, I tend to write 3-4 every couple months, so I needed new outlets. The singer had decided he was done. So I said let’s keep going with me Ryan and Jeff singing, it ended up being me singing, only second time I’ve sung lead for a band (other was EARTH MACHINE), and that’s it, we needed a name, so…I had seen a meme that said “Die Winter Die”, and we know a lot of divas (one behind the drum kit), and went with that. Then to find out there is a song called “Die Diva Die” by some band. Then Ryan left after many refusals to accept Steve’s unwanted sexual advances (laughing) so I thought I’d ask Bobby--a
