Fast forward to October of 2011--here we find ourselves three out of the four original member of Factor sitting around a table talking business. We certainly wouldn’t be the same; after all I had made the transition to electric and enjoyed writing and playing with both. It was decided we would call ourselves The Factor Project; TFP for short. Simply put, it made sense. The passion we shared and chemistry had not changed. One wrinkle after another slowly got ironed out as we built up our set lists and set out to share our music. Around November of 2011, we stumbled across our bassist, AARON MOODY--literally stumbled, I might add, in a parking lot. I had known Moody from having seen his previous band perform. I asked the simple question, “Do you know anyone that plays bass?”…“I play bass,” he responded quickly. Moody had the drive and passion that we needed and were searching for in a bassist. This is my dream, our dream, and our lives. We cannot settle for less than what we want or we are doing ourselves an injustice. We released our first album with a studio-hired drummer in May of 2013. Kevin, Moody and I worked diligently through the entirety of 2013. Practicing three to four days a week with or without a drummer. We held so many auditions that I lost count. Using fill-in drummers for the twenty shows that we played last year, we were determined that we would find exactly what we were looking for. As this year rolled in and we booked our first show, I found we were still using a fill-in drummer. It was time to think outside the box. Dedication, drive, passion, talent and attitude--these are the things we were grading on. The auditions continued… KRONIK is a very talented Hip Hop artist from Parkersburg, WV. I figured he might know a drummer or two. So I got hold of him to ask. How was I to know that he was a seasoned percussionist? After talking for a few, it became quite evident that he had the same drive and passion for music as I did, so I invited him to make the two hour drive to audition for TFP. Everything clicked and immediately felt right. Now we are in 2014 and rolling towards our goal of a national tour in 2015! As we are writing our new album, we have been hitting the stage left and right with our collective passion. Keep your ears peeled for what comes next! The future is here and TFP is fully formed and ready to ROCK! Find your way to our website where you can download our entire first album for free.
