TFP was formed in the sewers of New York, where four prepubescent turtles stepped in some radioactive
goo…oh wait, that’s not right at all. The journey has been one of many trials and challenges. Nothing worth
having comes easy though.
Music has always been a passion of mine, my only true escape from the sadness and confusion that life
constantly throws at us. Our sound and lyrics may be depressing to some people but I feel that more people
can relate to pain and suffering than to lollipops and puppy dogs.
TFP is a dream manifested. KEVIN LAWSON and I have been playing and writing music together since 2002.
Back then we were known as FACTOR. I solely played acoustic while we created a sound all our own. Just as
things were taking off for Factor, I encountered an injury that lost me the use of my playing hand for several
years. Kevin went on to do many other things with his musical abilities, from other projects to teaching.
Chemistry doesn’t disappear though.
Several years later I look up from my day to day routine to find Kevin staring me down. “You ready to do
this?” he asked. Without a second thought, we gathered up our old crew and collected our old practice
recordings. But it was not yet our time.
