They knew early on that they were the perfect combination as musicians and as friends. They had the necessary chemistry and Three Killer Buds is the perfect name for their band. They have become three incredible friends. They had the necessary drive, which they used to send countless messages, e-mails and invitations to venue owners, promoters, fans, organizers--or anyone that could help them progress-including me. They had the necessary talent, and Brian's ability to sing out front or from behind the kit together with David and Michael's ability to trade off lead and bass guitars (sometimes even mid-song), provided them with many different sounds and styles--and it also gave them a hook. After hearing them for the first time, I was hooked. They had invited me out to see them for many months, then one night, their gig and my schedule aligned. I had missed them on two previous occasions when I arrived just after they had finished their set. But on this night, I was going to finally hear them. They had finally broken into getting a few paid gigs at small venues but had not yet built a following worth speaking of. At this show there weren't many people, but they performed as if there were thousands. Those of us who were there were blown away. They performed the obligatory covers that all of these venues demand to keep their drinkers dancing and buying, but it wasn't the covers you hear everywhere else. When they first started playing Scorpions, I knew they were different. When they started playing their originals, I knew I'd became a fan. Three Killer Buds style can best be described by their first video release, “Back To Basics”. It's good old fashioned in-your-face, kick ass Rock and Roll. The visual part of their show is as good as it gets with the
