Heating up the desert night at the Grand Re-opening of
CLUB RED in Mesa, Arizona, AUTHORITY ZERO
returned home on a hometown stop before their global
tour. Formed in 1994, this local- band-makes-good is the
pride of Mesa Town. Authority Zero is a Punk
Rock/Alternative/Reggae band making waves in the
music scene and the ripple has been felt worldwide.
Life ain’t easy on the road, no doubt. But these dudes
looked none the worse for wear as they met with ION
Indie Magazine—engaging with their warm smiles and a
casual “unaffected” demeanor.
Authority Zero has four studio albums “in the can”, two
LIVE acoustic albums, and two EP’s…with no sign of
slowing down. Having appeared in numerous
international shows in destinations like Japan, Belgium
(GROEZROCK), Spain (RESURRECTION FEST) and
the UK (REBELLION FEST)—and various other notable
festivals throughout Europe, Authority Zero again takes
a jaunt across the pond with the next leg of their current
tour--taking them to iconic locations such as Russia and
Australia. Authority Zero is managed by HARDLINE
ENTERTAINMENT. As is the case with many a band,
there have been some personnel changes over the almost two decades of their existence. This has not stymied Authority
Zero’s drive nor passion. As steadfast and strong as the alternative movement itself and buoyed by the paths forged by the
visionary “Punk Forefathers” proceeding them, Authority Zero stands tall and proud and ready to take the planet by storm. AZ
pays tribute to those rebel trailblazers of their genre with their latest offering, “The Tipping Point” (named after the MALCOLM
GLADWELL book). Recorded with producer CAMERON WEBB (PENNYWISE, SOCIAL DISTORTION, MOTÖRHEAD), “The
Tipping Point” tantalizes the senses with a smorgasbord of influences. The result is a superbly meshed musical collaboration
that is a marriage of sound, that smacks the listener “upside the head” with Authority Zero’s unique blend of brashness.
