All the way from Northwest Arkansas to Hagerstown, MD, came REDECHO on the “RedEcho Invasion Tour”. While the RedEcho
fan base, affectionately known as (((Echo Nation))), is no doubt loud and proud in their home territory, I was anxious to see
the response they drew in their first trek up to the Mid-Atlantic region, 1100 miles from home. As they took the stage, I’m not
sure the crowd at HARD TIMES CAFÉ AND CUE understood that their world of music appreciation was about to change for the
better. While allotted a 45 minute set, I believe that the fandom would have been content to embrace these guys for hours
longer if it were at any way possible.
The set kicked off with the fast paced song “Hypocrite”, a tune that will be on the upcoming album, “Suicide Lady”. It let us
know immediately that we were in for a pure Metal evening with these guys. Following up “Suicide Lady”, is another soon-tobe recorded single that will be on the upcoming album. “Face of Pain”, another song due to be released, nearly melted every
face in the house.
In speaking with CORY CARTER (vocals) the day before the show, he was telling me about a redesign they had for the big
JOHNNY CASH hit “Folsom Prison Blues”, but it was left out of the set list for the show at Hard Times--explaining that when
they travel, they prefer to play only their original material and not play cover tunes. That is a position I understand, and
