was an actual word, and it so happens that it has a definition. In Latin terminology the synonym for Revelus
is "Pedlar" also known as "Peddler" in the English language which is defined as: “a person who goes from
place to place selling small goods. Synonyms: traveling salesman/salesperson, door-to-door
salesman/salesperson". Also come to find out that the word "Revel" has a definition as well which is
"enjoy oneself in a lively and noisy way, especially with drinking and dancing." So in short, we are peddling
music to music lovers everywhere so that everyone can enjoy their selves in a lively/noisy way with drinking
and dancing...or in our case "LIVE MUSIC, HEAD BANGING AND BEER”--or whatever your drink of choice is-pick your poison.
JP RAWK: Who are the bands or individuals that have influenced you as an artist?
REVELUS: We have quite a few influences as individuals but here is a list as it stands right now: BLACK
SABBATH, IRON MAIDEN, LED ZEPPELIN, METALLICA, TOOL, CLUTCH, COC, DOWN, AVENGED SEVENFOLD,
FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, SEETHER, THREE DAYS GRACE, BREAKING BENJAMIN, CHEVELLE, LAMB OF
GOD, NIRVANA, PEARL JAM, MUD HONEY, SOUNDGARDEN, FUEL, GNR, ALTER BRIDGE, CREED (“My Own
Prison”)…and all the musicians out there, signed and unsigned, doing what they love and making amazing
music.
JP RAWK: Tell me about some of your best memories that you have with the guys in the band.
JOSH BRONSON: We have not been able to spend much time with each other outside of the band, but my
favorite show with the guys so far was at THE WHISKEY ROOM in Raleigh, NC, celebrating Rick’s birthday. It
was an awesome show with a lot of family and friends, and was great to celebrate Rick Logan’s birthday and
watch him propose to his fiancée, Lindsay.
DOUG HAMEL: So many, but my favorites are usually the road trips, especially playing in NY, and also those
moments on stage when the crowd is great, we're killing it, and we just glimpse over at each other and it's
just like, "YES!"
RICK LOGAN: A lot of my memories vary over the years of being in this band. I have had a lot of good
memories with members, past and present. Every time I am on stage with the current lineup though is my
most fond of memories because this lineup is the one that is putting the band into the limelight. I would
have to say though that my most memorable moment would have to be sharing the stage with SEBASTIAN
BACH of SKID ROW at THE RED HAT AMPHITHEATER in Raleigh, NC. That guy sure is a character. Playing with
10 YEARS was also pretty awesome. Those guys are cool as hell. I wouldn't mind playing some shows with
them again.
J HARRIS: Well, I've only been with the band for a few weeks, so let's see...if I think back, I'd have to say the
night I nailed my audition. It's hard to describe how I felt when they invited me to join this amazing band.
Good times, man, good times. And they're only going to get better!
JP RAWK: What many people fail to realize is that there is a life outside of the band. What are your interests
and hobbies outside of Revelus?
JOSH BRONSON: I currently attend wake tech for school right now and also work as a host at PF CHANGS.
I'm very into physical fitness and am at the gym 5-6 days a week, and have been doing that for the last 6
