Music by TFP “10,000 Voices”
By Shawn Joseph
Welcome to 2015 my chaotic friends! It seems as though the holiday season left many of you completely
speechless. I am quite surprised that I received absolutely zero submissions for this month’s article. For that
reason you will all be tortured by works out of my insane membrane.
With a brand new year upon us, we are often forced to reflect on the accomplishments and shortcomings we
have experienced over the past twelve months. For those of you who are not familiar with CHAOS, let me
enlighten you. I am a musician, not unlike most of our readers here at ION INDIE MAGAZINE. It is my dream
to simply write music and be heard. This dream has manifested into so much more from the moment I met
our editor, KIKI PLESHA, and I have been striving not only to achieve a sustainable musical career with my
band, but to also help other musicians, lyricists and poets get their works heard.
The entire purpose for this column is to share YOUR work with the world! I accept all submissions and sort
through them to find the ones that grab hold of me and make me crave more from that artist. Then I publish
YOUR art in CHAOS’S CORNER along with links to your band pages in an effort to help you be exposed. We
want to help you grow your fan base! The purpose we all serve here at ION Indie Magazine is to bring the
unknown musicians out into the spotlight, to help you get media coverage and grow your musical network.
That being said, I want to hear from you--from all of you out there! I want to have so many submissions that
I can’t decide what to publish this month or next. Make me work, I don’t mind at all! So if you are not afraid
to share your works, or just want to be heard, like me, then send your submissions (yes, you can send me
more than one) to [email protected]. Please include how you would like your name published,
along with your band affiliation and links to your band’s pages. Help us get you exposure! This wouldn’t be
CHAOS’S CORNER if I didn’t torture you with a little of my own work. So here you go, fresh from the cage I
call a brain. My newest composition, I hope you enjoy!
TENSE PRESENT
By Shawn Joseph
Solace in angst
Pain is my peace
Piece of existence
Purpose to be
No one would dare
To publicly share
This life I call mine
Not in their right mind
