Case Of Pandora THE BAND: Leandra Johne-Vocals Samuel Clauß-Drums Sebastian Leibe-Bass Tobias Ullmann-Keyboards, Percussion Theo Johne-Guitars, Vocals (backing) Eric Neufeld-Guitars MORLAS MEMORIA is a Symphonic Gothic Metal band from Dresden in Germany. The band was formed in 2010, and on May 2014, they released the full-length debut album “Follow The Wind”. Opening track, “The Mirror”, is rich with symphonic elements with growling guitar riffs buoyed with violin accompaniment. It is an interesting contrast where lilting opera meets grungy guitar sounds. Heavier guitars and melodic keys are featured in “Incorrigible”; with its dark mood that would serve well as a backdrop to a Black Mass. With some of the lyrics sung in their native German language with accents of guttural utterances, this is a track that evokes feelings of impending doom…which I think, is the point. Instrumental offering “Silence” features beautiful flute sounds and is a feast for the ears. Title track “Follow The Wind” is a full-out presentation that showcases every nuance of this band.
