The CD opens with the haunting song “Tempus”, with a gentle piano intro that steadily builds into a full
production number. Titled track “Visions Of Another World” smacks you between the eyes and is a glimpse
into what is to come, presenting both stellar musicianship and unforgettable vocals. I could definitely pick
up nuances of JUDAS PRIEST in this track. Most notable is the killer guitar solo!
“They Live” serves up a vibe with an 80’s feel. This moves into the epic track “Blood And Romance” with a
duet that features the vocals of BEN COLTON and CHRISTINA GAJNY. It is a LONG song…the longest on the
album, but also, my personal favorite. The song “Ghosts” is a wonderful showcase for the entire band; with
great balance throughout…reminiscent of DREAM THEATER.
“The Wheel of Misfortune” has some interesting surprises and is a platform for power Metal riffs. Larger
than life guitars explode in “Eminent Reprisal” with wonderful layering and pounding drums, a la JUDAS
PRIEST. Massively-fast intricate guitars are the stewards of “Salt Water Bandits”, a masterpiece of
composition and a showcase of musicianship. The CD goes out with a BANG with the somewhat Maidenesque track “This Fire”, an energetic song that definitely leaves the listener on a high note.
“Visions of Another World” in my opinion is great album! Energy & power emits from every track in the
tradition of true Power Metal. I highly recommend this album by some accomplished English Metallers!
