Over the course of time , you develop some really great partners in this strange , yet invigorating and addicting business . The hope is to provide you , the readers and listeners , some of the best music we can put into your ears and hands . This month , I ’ m honored to say that partners , BILL and LORI CHAVIS-- from indie Iabel , HIGHVOLMUSIC-- have given ION exclusive access to the band NEW MACHINE ’ S album “ Karma ” in advance of release . New Machine is comprised of veteran rockers RYCHE GREEN , JIMMY MILLER , TOMMY WILLIAMS , POLO STABER and LORENZO “ ZO ” DELVECCHIO .
The first track , “ Hell to Pay ”, leads us on a music journey that makes me look forward to what the balance of the album has in store for us . It provides us a strong lead in where the bass guitar is not lost--as it seems to be in much of the mixing these days . The vocals are strong , on point , and the guitar work blazes right through the solo .
