Throughout the year, I cover and attend A LOT of LIVE local shows all around North Carolina, supporting our
local bands, and NC's local music scene. Every week, promoters, booking agents and talent buyers, work hard
putting together the best events and lineups they can, in the hopes of drawing a good crowd to their shows.
With every show you attend, you hope you’re going to find a lineup of talented bands that when meshed
together, are pure magic.
I recently caught a show at AMOS’ SOUTHEND (www.amossouthend.com) in Charlotte, NC, that was just that-magic. Playing to a crowd of several hundred, were the ever popular boys from Greenville, SC, KELEN HELLER.
Joining them was the band 7 STONE RIOT, from Birmingham, AL. Throw in the band SILVERTUNG, from
Baltimore, MD, A COURSE OF ACTION, from Hickory, NC, the band MELIORA, from upstate SC, and local
newcomers, EXILES--and this show KICKED major Rock and Roll ASS!
Every one of these bands is red hot right now, and all are poised to climb the ladder and explode in 2016. If
you ever, have the chance to see any of these bands live, DO IT! You may just have found your new favorite
band! All can be found on Facebook, and all over social media. Take a minute, look them up, and show them
some love. Remember, a healthy, local music scene, can only remain strong if YOU get out and support it!
