Kat: You have a confirmed show as main support to LEAVES EYES in
the United Kingdom at The Dames of Darkness Festival on May 10,
2015. Are you looking forward on your performance on this
festival? Have you prepare any special surprises for your fans?
Iliana: We couldn’t be happier about this and we can’t wait to get
there. I cannot reveal any surprises yet, but you can find out there.
Pre-sales have already started!
Kat: You played at Metal Female Voices Fest XII that took place in
October in Belgium and features major female-fronted bands,
such as THERION, XANDRIA, SIRENIA, DRACONIAN, STREAM OF
PASSION and DIABULUS IN MUSICA. What are your memories from
this festival? Please tell something more about your
collaboration with Ailyn from SIRENIA at MFVF.
Iliana: MFVF is one of the best things have happened to me. I can’t
describe with words my experience and I am very glad for being a
part of it. With Aylin we collaborated on stage last October, for
the project MFVF United. It was a song of her choice, and one of
the most favored for that night.
Kat: Did you meet any special fans or members of bands on etal
Female Voices Fest XII, in October, in Belgium?
Iliana: Every person that we meet is special for us, because they
show us lots of love and appreciation about our work. This always
means a lot for us.
Kat: Tell us some of your musical interests as you grew up? Have
you always wanted to be vocalist? What is your favorite kind of
music now? And what bands so you listen to? I so know that you like
classical composers.
Iliana: I have grown up with Crete’s traditional music, because of my
father’s origins. Moreover, I discovered Classic music while
learning the piano. Metal came to my life through my big sister,
since she was literally buying a new CD every single day. I always
wanted to be a vocalist, and I realized so, while attending my first
concert as a choir member. I definitely like classical music, but in
my everyday life I choose different genres like Hardcore, Stoner,
Symphonic, mostly Metal. But my choices in music depend on my
mood.
