Scotty McCreery: You know, the moment the story lends itself and you know--like you said earlier--Lord willing, there is plenty more years left…and interesting years that folks will want to read about. Uh, hoping that's the case. But you know, “Go Big or Go Home” wasn't an autobiography. It was more of a travel log. Like you said, a snapshot book of snapshots and different things like that. So you know the next one will kind of be more of a life story kind of thing and this one was more just kind of lessons from a 22 year old-and really a 16 year old who had to grow up really quick in the public eye. And it’s kind of just a few thoughts on that. So, yeah, hopefully there is a follow-up. Kiki: Maybe you could call it “Go Bigger in a Bigger House”? (Laughs) Scotty McCreery: Yep, exactly. Yeah, that'd be great. Kiki: (Laughs) All right! Well I want to tell you congratulations on your appearance at the Grand Ole Opry during the CMA Music Fest and your big standing “O” after performing your song “5 More Minutes”. Now, besides your grandfather, Scotty, if you could have 5 more minutes with one person that has left this world, who would that be and why? Scotty McCreery: Oh my goodness. Uh, well, both my grandfathers’ have left me, so they'd be awesome just to talk to them again. But if I could have 5 more and it was somebody else--my goodness, there is plenty, plenty of folks. I never had 5 minutes to begin with, but I would really love 5 minutes with Elvis--(that) would be pretty cool; just to kind of pick his brain. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That'd be pretty sweet. Kiki: Very good. Well, tell us something about Garner, North Carolina's favorite son that our readers would be surprised to know… Scotty McCreery: Oh my goodness. Uh, that's... Kiki: (Laughs) Am I throwing you? Scotty McCreery: No, that's just always the toughest question because my life has literally been an open book, you know? Everybody pretty much knows everything about me. (They’d) be surprised to know, probably, I mean, with you all being in New Hampshire you wouldn't think for me being a North Carolina guy, New England is like my favorite part of the entire country. My dad is from New Hampshire and from Maine and he kind of brought me up and took me up there when I was a kid and I just love it up there--especially during the summers. Winters get a little cold for me, but summers are great and you know I'm a big New England sports fan…so Red Sox and Patriots…they're my 2 teams, so... Mark Myers: Great answer. Scotty McCreery: Yeah, you wouldn't expect it from a North Carolina boy, but that's kind of how... Mark Myers: Now I'm, now I'm even a bigger fan, Scotty. Kiki: Well I'm in Atlanta right now but I won't hold that against you as far as that goes.
