No stranger to success, Bec has enjoyed a notable career in her own right. In 2000, Bec moved to Melbourne and signed a deal with Warner Music Australia and Destinova Records and had huge radio success with her two singles, “Dance all Night” and “Bump”--which also hung in the ARIA top 10 club charts for several weeks. It was followed by the release of her solo album, “Electric Beach”. She has charted in the top 40 as a songwriter and as an artist in Australia, Europe and Japan. Caruana has toured with major international acts--including Pink, Bon Jovi, Shaggy, Sugarbabes, Natalie Imbruglia, Liberty X, DJ Sammy, KLF, Snap, and C&C Music Factory. In recent years, Caruana was a regular performer at Good Vibrations (Sydney), alongside Johnny Gleeson and Timmy Trumpet. Regarding the founding of Booshu Records, Bec shares her vision: “Booshu (meaning: Beautiful) was born out of a need to distribute and release sexy house music that was coming my way and the incredible talent and tracks that were exciting me. I guess too much EDM flooded my airwaves and I thought there must be room for hands-in-the-air house music, gospel-inspired vocals or just a sexy deep vocal house track or a storming disco house track featuring a soulful diva. The pioneers of house music must never be forgotten-and I will always nod my head in respect to those that changed house music forever--Carl Cox, Dimitri From Paris, The Freemasons and StoneBridge are just a few that gave us that feeling…like you want to make love to the ceiling! The team at Booshu looks forward to bringing you music that makes you put your hands up and grin from ear to ear!” Here is a look at some of the talented individuals that share Bec’s vision and drive Booshu Records--both creatively and musically—and that are contributing to “getting hands up” around the globe…
