Story and Photography by Daniel Johnson • www.facebook.com/DagdaPhotography www.ne-countrymusic.com/festival • www.harborartists.com/ This was a great opportunity to shoot quite a few local and national Country artists at THE NEW ENGLAND COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL, hosted at RED HOOK BREWERY in Portsmouth, New Hampshire (Presented by THE HARBOR AGENCY). NATIVE RUN blew me away! This unassuming duo took the stage with a funky Rock edge. Just coming back to the area after opening up for SAM HUNT at THE HOUSE OF BLUES in Boston, they spoke highly of the Country fans in the NE--and the heat (it was 93 and full-on sun). Lots of musical talent in this band! After the show, RACHEL BEAUREGARD (aka “The Girl”) and BRYAN DAWLEY (aka “The Hair”) came out from behind the fence without security to mingle with their waiting fans. I found them incredibly genuine--and you could tell that they feed off of their fans’ adoration. Keep an eye on Native Run!
