Alexa: STEVEN TYLER!!!! He is my number one musical influence and has been since day one. I can’t say enough about the
man, but we would be here all day. I wrote a 43 page paper on AEROSMITH my senior year of high school, so that might sum
up my obsession.
Adam: WOW, that’s a good one. It’s between
two people.—JOHN FRUSCIANTE…on one
hand. His guitar playing for the RED HOT
CHILI PEPPERS on “Blood Sugar Sex
Magik” and “Californication” are nothing
short of sublime, and I consider him a
musical genius. On the other hand…I’m
going to have to go with DAVE GROHL--I
have a huge man-crush on him, and I’m
unashamed to say so; the man is just
brimming with talent.
MM: Another question for all 3 of you,
what’s playing on your iPod most these
days?
Alexa: Lately I’ve been listening to a lot of
stuff like CIRCA SURVIVE, AUDIOSLAVE,
FLEETWOOD MAC, LANA DEL REY. I just
saw U2 in concert so I’ve fallen back in
love with their latest album all over again.
Chris: Lately I’ve been listening to the new
OF MONSTERS AND MEN record. They’re
doing some really cool things that I’ve
been getting a lot of inspiration from.
Besides that I’ve been listening to a lot of
CHVRCHES, AVENGED SEVENFOLD and
THE BEACH BOYS.
Adam: You could say I have a penchant to
go through “band phases”, where I’ll listen
to one band’s music non-stop for about a week to ten days, and then move on. Most recently, that band has been
MANCHESTER ORCHESTRA. Their most recent album has really grabbed me. Compared to their earlier music, it’s just so
heavy, loud, and unapologetic with its sound. I love it. Other bands I have a tendency to listen to and really enjoy include THEM
CROOKED VULTURES, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, R
