“Well how would you know if you’ve never heard it?” Darrell scolded more than he asked.
“C’mon. You’re telling me that Johnny Cash singing “First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” is the best thing
you’ve heard in a while? How can that be? The Roberta Flack version grew too old on ya? There’s plenty
of good new music out there,” I reply so confident in my statement that I lean back in my chair and put
my feet up on my desk.
“Name one,” Darrell shot back. “Do you even know what the #1 song is today according to Billboard?”
Before I could conjure up a wild ass guess, Darrell continued…“It’s “Problem” by Ariana Grande.”
“What by who?”
“Wait--there’s more. It also features someone named Iggy Azalea.”
“Who?”
