Story and Photography by Timothy Schumann On February 22, 2015, it was freezing here in El Paso, but inside the BUCHANAN’S EVENT CENTER, the place was on fire with TAKING BACK SUNDAY on stage! Hailing from Long Island, New York, and with six studio albums under their belt since 2002, Adam and the boys thoroughly entertained a packed house with their brand of Indie/Alternative/Power Rock music. Songs like "Flicker Fade", "Stood a Chance", "Spin" and "It takes More", had the audience in a frenzy--it was quite a sight, to say the least. This show did mark the very first Rock show at this venue, and it was promoted and put on by the powers that be from none other than TRICKY FALLS. In fact, this show was such a success, that more Rock shows will be featured at this particular venue, which can handle close to, if not more than, 2000 people. I had no idea that this band would receive such a welcome here in El Paso. During my time in the pit shooting, I would look around and everyone was singing every word of every song. All eyes were locked on the lead singer ADAM LAZZARA. Truth be told, I had heard of them, but was not familiar with any of their music. But, in the “Good News Department”, El Paso, Texas, knew them and knew them well--and that alone is a compliment to this city for bands of this caliber. In my opinion, it was a great show and well received by the fans of El Paso. It makes me proud to see the turnout for national acts, as we did on this cold Sunday night. Well done, El Paso, well done! Timothy Schumann and Adam Lazzara http://www.takingbacksunday.com/ https://www.facebook.com/TakingBackSunday
