What advice would you give to today’s up-and-coming artist? Wally: Don’t do it to get rich. Don’t sell out. Stay true to your guns, no matter what. Ricky: The best advice I could give, is never give up. Always push forward, no matter how many times you get knocked down. And if by blessing you succeed into mainstream, don’t let the money, fame or fortune let you forget where you come from or all the hardships you endured on your journey. George: Read everything carefully. Be patient, and play as many shows as you can. Justin: My advice is, you must really have your heart set for achieving the goal that you are after, no matter the cost. There are many dark roads and pit falls all along the path, but so long as you stay focused on your goal, then you can achieve. David: Never stop learning, never stop progressing, and if you make it, don’t stop doing what got you there. Complacency is a musician’s worst enemy. Also, put your name out there as much as you possibly can, and always be open to meeting new people. You never know who can help you along the way. What are your hopes for SILVERSEL’S future and what are your short-term plans for the band? Wally: I would like to have at least 2 more albums under our belt. I would also like to receive a Grammy nod. Short term, we are focusing on our upcoming tours. Ricky: My hopes are to have two to three more albums under our belt, a Grammy, and to be able to keep SILVERSEL alive forever. Short term…finish writing new material for our third album and a couple more music videos. Justin: My future hope is that we can be touring the world, reaching as many fans as possible and having the chance to meet as many as we can—and for it to be a full time thing till I can no longer go. And for me, the short term is to get the songs for a 3rd album polished and get them on the roll for recording.
