Wedding in Croatia
On the day of the wedding , the relatives and friends of the bride meet in her parents ' house to wait for the arrival of the groom . According to the old custom , unmarried girls pin their guests to a bow in national colors with a rosemary branch . With noisy music , everyone goes to mass . After the wedding ceremony , the young couple receives congratulations and wishes in the church . The wedding party takes place in a hotel or restaurant room . Serve slices of cheese and sausage as well as a dish with baked piglet or lamb are served . To this of course , any amount of Croatian plum brandy . In the meantime , the bride goes along with her bridesmaid along the rows , greets each guest one more time . The guests put an envelope with money and a greeting card on a tray that the bridesmaid is holding . In rural regions , it is customary to find an apple with an inserted gold thaler on the tray .
