In Spain primary school lasts 6 years. Next pupils go to obligatory school. At the end they get
the report cards . Bachillerato is a equivalent to the high scholl, essential to go to studies. They
are nine subjects with final exams. Exam on studes is selectivo. The grading is from 0 to 10.
In Poland, childreen go to School when at the age of six. After finishing primary school they
wrtite an exam. The junior high school lasts three years and at the end they also write the
exams. After junior high school students choose between high, technical or vocational school.
After technical and high school they pass secondary school exams, which are called 'maturity
exam'. The grading is from 1 to 6.
In Great Britain there are two primary schools. The first one is from five to seven years old,
the second one is for the children from seven to eleven years old. High scholl is from eleven
to sixteen years old. At the age of thirteen they writte the SAT exam. The grading is from 8 to
1. Second exam is General Certificate of Secondary School Education. The grading is :
A,B,C,D,E,F,G and U.

The first state which I want to describe is Slovenia. This state has some exceptional holidays
for their inhabitants. These are Slavic Holiday of Culture – 8th of Febuary. Resistance day
against the occupiers is celebrated 27th of April, also they celebrated Day of the Reformation.
This take place thirty-first October. Some holidays are really similar to polish holidays. They
celebrate New Year – 1st of January. I think the most imporatnt holiday for each state is
Independence Day. This take place 26th of December.
In Netherlands holidays are divided. They have Christmas holidays, winter holidays, may
holidays, summer holidays and autumn holidays. The division depeends of region, where we
live. Dates associated whit celebrate of New year or Christmas are same like in Poland. People
who live in Netherlands celebrates The Day of King (27th of April). This state also have really
important date. It’s 5th of may. People celebrates The Day of Liberation.
In Poland days off are every weekend and holidays. 6th of January we celebrate Epiphanty. In
this year Easter started 1st of April. Out national and special holidays is Feast of Constitution
and Independence Day, it’s take place 11 of November. Same as Netherlands we have
Pentecost. In Poland it take place 20th of may. After soon we celebrate God’s body, the next
is „Wniebowzięcie NMP”. Polisch people also concern the celebrate of all the saints. It’s a day
before Halloween (this holiday is celebrate e.g. in USA). We can notice that above states have
some similar holidays.
Spanish peoplce also have got specials dates. Constitution Day in Spain take place 6th of
December, before this holiday take place The National Holiday of Spain. Spanish people
concern this 12th of October. The end of the school year in Spain take place between
20th/25th of June and then children start a summer holiday. 28th of December spanish people
celebration Dia de los Santos Inocenters. It’s really funny holiday. We can’t notice it in other
country.
