Cooperation with Vocational Education establishments and universities
We have partnership with local universities, Vocational Education establishments and local employers which
help us to promote opportunities for post school progression. We have invited local employers and HE
institutes to advise us on skills sought by companies in our respective regions. An international project is
important to us because we seek to promote the benefits of the single market and freedom of movement for
work and study so although we will plan a series of visits to our respective schools from representatives from
firms and colleges to talk to our students who are entering their final years in our schools and we intend to
arrange a series of "destination fairs." Our school has developed these locally but we have arranged mutually
themes especially where post school mobilities are involved. Universities and employers are important
because we offered goals and objectives to our three primary target groups....the more able, those at risk of
early drop out from education and girls who fail to fulfil post school potential.
Cooperation between Zespol Szkol Budowlanych and the Universities.
Zespol Szkol Budowlanych team cooperates with the universities in Rzeszów. The main partner of the
school is Rzeszow University of Technology. The Faculty of Architecture, Construction and Sanitary
Engineering has given the school its patronage, under which our students have the opportunity to get
acquainted with the university before they start learning in it. This cooperation includes, among other things,
annual excursions of the matura classes for open days, during which they become acquainted with faculties,
visit the building department and take part in workshops in the material strength laboratory. During these
workshops, students have the opportunity to observe the work of the most complex devices for measuring
the strength of various building materials. Our students also took part in field exercises related to land
mechanics and geodesy. At the Rzeszów University of Technology, there are also every year the regional
eliminations of the Knowledge and Construction Skills Olympiad, for which the school stage selects the best
students in this field of knowledge. Thanks to this cooperation, students of our school have the opportunity
to learn about the university in which they can later continue their education at technical studies such as
architecture, construction, sanitary engineering, geodesy and other building construction subjects. In the last
year, the school established cooperation with the Art Department of the University of Rzeszów. As part of
this cooperation, the university staff comes to Zespol Szkol Budowlanych to present an offer of possible
fields of study.
Steps have also been taken to let our students from the class of architectural design in September take part in
drawing workshops conducted by qualified university staff at the faculty. Thanks to this, students with
artistic talent will have the opportunity to work under the guidance of professionals in this field.
