12. To practice it, students developed some rules: How to behave properly in a JOB INTERVIEW?
Our body language consists of: posture, gestures, facial expression, tone of the voice. We should pay
attention so that our behavior is compatible with what we say.
1.Greet with confidence
* come in unhesitating step and greet with a confident handshake.
* shake the hand strongly and securely.
* rub cold hands and if it sweated- discreetly wipe it before the meeting.
2.Straighten your back
* adopt a relaxed position - back straight.
* don't sit on the edge of the chair.
* try to sit in a comfortable distance for both persons.
3. Control your breath
* keep calm and controlled breath.
4. Appriopriately place the legs
*During the whole interview keep your feet in the same position.
*Continuous change of posture, and the alternate crossing, straightening or putting one leg the other
over may indicate nervousness and uncertainty.
5. Naturally place your hands and gesticulate
* don't gesticulate too much or too sparingly.
* don't cross your hands on your chest.
* keep your hands in one place, for example on the thighs or the armrests of the chair.
6. Keep eye contact
* look at the employer for a few seconds , naturally and effortlessly.
7. Adjust way of talking to the conversation partner
*Take enough control of your voice, so that you don‘t speak too softly or too loudly .
8. end the conversation well
* smile when saying goodbye.
*Shake the hand quite strongly.
*Keep the upright posture.
