OUTSTANDING SCIENCE

TEACHER AWARD

Mr. Mark Arnholt

Congratulations to Science Teacher, Mark Arnholt for being one of six teachers in the Nation recognized with an Outstanding Science Teacher award from the University of Minnesota. Mr. Arnholt was nominated by PLTW student and one of the members of his SMART Team last year, Megan Heimermann. Some of the notable things that Megan pointed out are listed below, HUHS is so lucky to have Mr. Arnholt, he is very well deserving of this award, Congratulations Mr. Arnholt, HUHS is proud of you!

"The great thing about his enormous amount of energy, is he puts it all into teaching. And not just teaching for the paycheck, because he thoroughly enjoys it and wants his students to succeed. I've never met a teacher who cares more about who students success in his class."

"So many people say that if you do something you love, you'll never work a day in your life. Mr. Arnholt really applies this, and the energy and passion that he puts into teaching really motivates kids to excel and do well, which is amazing. He also doesn't teach in a straight path, which I personally enjoyed. Rahter, he would give us the information, provide us with resources, and have us learn for ourselves and apply it. When we'd get stuck and confused, he'd help walk us through it, but it really allowed us to learn and reach insightful conclusions on our own."
