Testing Services
Key test innovations
24 Hour Hormone Panels
Most comprehensive hormone panels available
in the UK. Tests can include adrenal hormones,
sex hormones, thyroid hormones, hGH, melatonin,
oxytocin & minerals.
Cardiovascular Health Profile
Includes Lipoprotein Ratios, Chronic Inflammatory
Markers, Oxidant Stress Factors, Hormone Markers,
Mineral Markers and intervention options.
IgE and IgG4 Allergy Testing
MVL uses a combination IgE and IgG4 protocol.
The test can detect both IgE and/or IgG4 allergic
reactions. Thus immediate and delayed food
reactions can be detected.
R.E.D. Laboratories
RED Laboratories are a biotechnology
company developing clinical diagnostic tests
and therapies for chronic immune diseases. As
a specialty clinical laboratory, RED Laboratories
provide clinicians, researchers and chronically
ill patients with unique and innovative assays
to detect immune dysfunctions. They also
actively pursue basic research programs to
further unravel the mechanisms leading to
disease development.

Metagenomics Stool Analysis
Meridian Valley Labs
Meridian Valley Lab is a world leader in
allergy and hormone profiles, specialising in
Comprehensive 24-Hour urine hormone and
metabolite testing. Meridian Valley was the
first lab in the United States to offer this test
to help doctors use Bio-identical Hormone
Replacement Therapy safely and effectively.
Dr. Jonathan Wright, the Medical Director, has
been leading the laboratory testing since 1976.
A new PCR based analysis of all bacterial species of
the gastrointestinal tract including those previously
not analysed by traditional culture techniques.
Inflammatory Cytokine RNA
Analysis
This profile measures levels of IL-6, IL-8, IL-10,
TNF, TGF-1, MIP-1 and mRNA.
Vitamin D Receptor Polymorphisms
VDR dysfunction has been linked with
osteoarthritis, cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular
disease. Bsm1 and Fok1 are two SNPs in the gene
coding for VDR (vitamin D receptor).
Simplified Genetics
Key test innovations
Fit By Design
Full sequence analysis of five loci on 4 genes
including ADRB2, ADRB3, Amino acid substitutions
on codon 27, β 2-adrenergic receptor at codon 27
and PPARγ polymorphisms.
4
The laboratory at Simplified Genetics is focused
on full sequence analysis. This concentrates on
five important loci on four genes that encode
for fat absorption, physiological response(s) to
exercise, insulin resistance, obesity, regulation
of glucose homeostasis and adipocyte
differentiation. These five genes have been
assigned to the obesity gene map that are
directly involved in the phenotype behaviours
and response to fat absorption and retention,
nutritional requirements and limitations and the
exercise requirements for an individual.
