Detailed Project Description
The Government of RA highlights the
importance of the balanced development
of the territories, including the
construction of new infrastructural
developing areas in different spheres, it is
envisaged to combine the interests of the
state and the private sector, including:
 the construction of a touristic
complex,
 reservoirs construction in Armenia, in
order to expand rural irrigated areas
and water resources.
However, it will be necessary to use
attraction components for attracting
private investments, which is the
construction of a tourist complex within
the framework of this project. Thus, for
implementing such activities a number of
areas are envisaged in Tavush region,
which is famous with its nature throughout
entire Caucasus. The best option for
building touristic complex was chosen to
be the area near Koghb community.
The construction of a recreational
complex, which will include a resort,
cottages, a dam and a hydroelectric power
station, as discussed above will be situated
near Koghb community.
Forest lake resort and spa is situated in
the forests of Tavush, near towns Ijevan
and Dilijan. It is not far from some of the
local architectural and historical treasures
of Armenia, such as Haghartsin monastery,
Goshavanq, Sevan lake and peninsula and
many more.
A forest resort is not a new business in
the hospitality industry; it has long been in
existence but only just recently became
popular among various groups of people. It
is usually a place of fun and relaxation for
locals and tourists who want to be close to
the nature, while still enjoying the
amenities of a resort.
A forest resort is like other resorts, but
is usually situated in the forests and in our
case near the artificial lake (dam), which
will be constructed within the framework
of the project as well, and is a place for fun
lovers and those seeking a retreat of sorts.
The resort will be a place where visitors
could be in touch with the ecological spirit,
where customers will be face to face with
nature and feel the warmth of relaxation,
catering and comfortable accommodation.
Moreover, the complex will maintain
almost intact the outward appearance of
