Distilling is an Artform

Every barrel, every bottle is a work of art and as such, passion and purpose must be poured into every drop to make it the masterpiece that the finished product embodies.

Distilling is not a hobby or your typical 9-5 job. To create, to develop, to nuture takes time and patience. Much like a writter must find his plot, create a begginning, middle and end before the work can be published the distiller must find his flavour, his character, source the finest raw materials to create the perfect basis, vary the process to accommodate for the different styles and flavours each barrel wants to become and then to finish it in some of the rarest and finest woods, currated from around the world.

Western Australia is known as WA, the locals say that the WA stands for 'wait awhile' as everything in Western Australia takes a little bit longer then everywhere else.

Well, when it comes to distilling most companies will distill their product as few times as possible to be able to get the product to market as fast as possible; we wait awhile; take the time to distill the product over and over and over again, maybe even 10 more times again, because sometimes, the best things are worth waiting for.

Nurture v Nature

The age old question; what defines us? Is it nature or nurture? We have put this to the test and you simply cannot attempt to mechanically nurture the product into what you want it to be without destroying key characteristics. Too many distilleries today believe they can cheat nature by mechanically or synthetically adding syrups to achieve the same product and by ignoring the key role that nature has to play in the products development they will never be able to achieve the high quality, unique products we enjoy creating.
