Beeswax

Beeswax is a very fatty material that is created in the wax secreting gland of a bee. It starts out as a liquid in the gland and is later turned into tiny wax scales that are three millimeters wide.“ Secretion of wax takes place during a heavy honey flow or when vast quantities of food are available. It is suggested that 1lb of beeswax consists of 500000 wax scales.” The color of the beeswax depends on the amount of pollen the honey bee has eaten. The density of the wax depends on the temperature of the environment in which the wax is created. Wax may not seem important now but below are a few things people use wax for.
