Beeswax

Beeswax is a very fatty material that is created in the wax secreting gland of a bee . It starts out as a liquid in the gland and is later turned into tiny wax scales that are three millimeters wide . “ Secretion of wax takes place during a heavy honey flow or when vast quantities of food are available . It is suggested that 1lb of beeswax consists of 500000 wax scales .” The color of the beeswax depends on the amount of pollen the honey bee has eaten . The density of the wax depends on the temperature of the environment in which the wax is created . Wax may not seem important now but below are a few things people use wax for .
