Elephants are a major attraction in many places in the world. When we think of places like Africa, we picture elephants and other animals. Elephants play an important role in the circle of life. Because of the greed of poachers the elephant population is actually at risk. Despite a global CITES ban on international sales of ivory since 1990, tens of thousands of elephants are killed to meet a growing demand for ivory products in the Far East.
