things need in life. 97 % of the world’ s water is not able to be drunk, 2 % is frozen. That leaves 1 % of all the water in the world safe and able to drink. That is very limited and that 1 % needs to be around for the seven billion people on Earth. The Earth’ s population is supposed to grow to nine billion and that one percent of water is going to get smaller and smaller. Even though water is renewable, the amount we drink at the speed we do is passing the amount of water being replaced. When the water is replaced it is from precipitation. Sometimes places go through times when there is little to no rain. When these droughts happen many people will not have much water to drink and bathe in. Another thing that can happen is the spread of diseases. When people are running out of water they will reuse it. Reusing the water will spread diseases and make many people become sick and die. If we run short on water, many bad things will happen.
The other resource that is needed to make bottled water is oil. Oil is a nonrenewable source. When that is gone it’ s gone forever. We may not think oil is that important, but we use it for many things. We use it to power our cars. Without it we would have to walk everywhere. Some people may think that it is okay because we have hybrid cars. With hybrid cars you still need to fill your tank up with gas, it’ s just not as often. So, using the hybrid cars wouldn’ t work. Also, oil is used for energy and in life today it is very important. Without energy life today would be very hard. No computers, Internet, phones and more. In life today, those things have gotten to be important in daily life. Without energy it would be very hard to live our daily life.
