What Materials Do We Use To Make Bottled
Water?
We use many important resources to make the plastic water bottles. Two of the resources that are used are water and oil. It might sound a little funny to you, but we actually waste water making plastic bottles. To be exact, manufacturing a plastic bottle of water can take seven times more water than you actually get to drink. By using all these water bottles we are wasting seven times more water than is needed. When we don’ t have clean water because we wasted it all on plastic bottles it will be almost impossible for anything to live, but I will get more into that later in the article. I’ ll give you a ratio of the water we are wasting on unnecessary things. For every liter of bottled water, we get three more liters are wasted. They could be wasted by making the bottle, purifying the water or shipping the water. By drinking tap water, we would eliminate all of those reasons to waste the water. Just think about it, would you rather have a plastic water bottle that is more convenient, or would you rather sustain the water supply we have to keep life on earth?
Another important resource we use to make, ship, and purify the bottled water is oil. We use oil for many reasons, such as powering our cars. Other reasons are to use as energy and also to make plastic water bottles. You might think, why is oil used to make bottled water? Well it is actually a really important ingredient in the bottled water process. From when it comes from the water
