Hunters claim that PETA’ s ideas of nature straightening itself out are even more cruel than hunting. These hunters say that animals starving is worse than being hunted. They claim that hunting causes a quick death and is an easy solution to animal overpopulation.
PETA representatives such as Sara Wirth were quick to put that claim to rest. " Use the humane alternatives to hunting... Starvation and disease are tragic, but they are nature ' s way of ensuring that healthy, strong animals survive and maintain the strength of their herd or group.... Other options such as use of birth control and relocations of animals need to be discussed and we as humans need to make the moral decision that is best for our environment. Animal populations need to be controlled, but not by hunting. More
