Producing New Envirotech Mailers in Arlington

The new facility located at 1131 W . Bardin Rd . produces the Pregis EverTec™ mailer , which is a durable , lightweight , curbside recyclable , paper-cushioned , shipping solution . Pregis currently employs over 80 people in Arlington with plans to scale up to over 100 positions in the future as the company continues to grow .
Pregis acquired the technology to manufacture the envirotech shipping solution in October 2020 with the goal to scale the production of the curbside recyclable product to meet consumer demand . The company self-manufactures the proprietary equipment used to produce the mailers . Pregis has expanded over the past several months with additional sites to serve strategic geographic markets , which will create approximately 450 new jobs , in total .

The Arlington facility is additional capacity that is more specialized to accommodate the new technology and is ideally positioned to support future growth in the industry . “ We have room to expand to meet future demand and are expected to provide additional employment opportunities in the region , said Earl Moorer , Plant Manager . The Arlington facility has already been deemed the number one plant operation in the Pregis system due to the success thus far .”
For more than a decade , Pregis has brought to the marketplace a portfolio of products that address environmental concerns , as well as delivering the protective attributes critical for damage-free delivery of products to consumers . The plan is to continue this effort and success at the Arlington facility for many years to come .
Arlington ’ s Economic Development Corporation has approved a Grant to Redevelop Town North Shopping Center
On June 21 , 2022 , the Arlington Economic Development Corporation ( AEDC ) approved a resolution authorizing the execution of an agreement with developer Town North Arlington Partners , LLC for the renovation and redevelopment of the Town North Shopping Center located at 975 North Cooper Street .
The Center , which was purchased by Town North Arlington Partners in 2020 , sits on 9.7 acres , has 112,000 square feet of tenant space and is a prime location for redevelopment . With the help of AEDC ’ s grant funding of $ 2,361,600.00 , the renovation will include infrastructure and facade enhancements , new tenant spaces , upgrades to the parking lot , entryway , landscaping , and plaza / public space improvements .
Under the proposed agreement , the Town North Arlington Partners will make a minimum capital investment of $ 6,140,000 to redevelop the Center and the AEDC will provide the performance grant as onetime reimbursement payment after the capital investment is met , substantial completion of the project is achieved , and documentation of actual project costs are provided . The redevelopment should start by the end of this calendar year and be completed within 24 months . See more of , AEDC ’ s Executive Director
