DBJ Names Loews Arlington Hotel as 2024 Best Real Estate Deal for Hospitality / Hotel

Three Corporate Headquarters are Arlington-Bound

The Loews Arlington Hotel was awarded the 2024 Best Real Estate Deal for Hospitality / Hotel by the Dallas Business Journal .
Opened in Feb . 2024 , the 888- room Loews Arlington Hotel and Convention Center is a state-ofthe-art , full-service meetings , events and resort destination that caters to groups of all sizes , as well as families who are looking for a world-class resort experience in the epicenter of the premier sports and entertainment district in the country . It is accessible to the 300-room Live ! by Loews – Arlington and all its amenities via skybridge . The two hotels combined offer nearly 1,200 guestrooms and more than 300,000 square feet of meeting and event space .
The $ 550 million project is a public-private partnership between Loews Hotels & Co , the City of Arlington , The Cordish Companies and the Texas Rangers , building off the success and momentum of Texas Live !, Live ! By Loews and Globe Life Field .
Arlington City Council has voted on and approved agreements for three separate corporate headquarters moving to or being newly established in Arlington .
Acciona Facility Services is a 100-year-old multinational conglomerate based in Spain and will establish its U . S . headquarters for their facility services division in Arlington . With four core lines of business including renewable energies , water management , construction and facility services , they have over 57,000 employees in 40 countries . The company typically employs 250-300 workers per each of its locations and will promote job opportunities to Arlington residents .
The Chapter 380 economic development agreement states that the City will provide Acciona with an annual rebate of 65 % of 1 % of sales taxes collected on their service contracts for 10 years .
GAC Media , a prominent media enterprise holding U . S . cable networks Great American Family and Great American Faith & Living as well as streaming services , will relocate its corporate headquarters from Fort Worth . The company will establish a minimum of 20 high-quality jobs at the new location .
The City will reimburse GAC Media $ 100,000 for the relocation and preparation of its corporate headquarters as part of their Chapter 380 agreement , funded by the Innovation and Venture Capital Fund .
“ The approval of our recent headquarter projects is a testament to the thriving economic environment in Arlington ,” said Gus Garcia , Director of Economic Development for the City . “ Corporate headquarters are key to fostering a rapidly growing economy , and we ’ re prime for more headquarter relocations . Our City is perfectly suited to address the various challenges corporations experience during their site selection process ,” he said .
E-space , Inc . will enter a public-private partnership with the City and the Arlington Economic Development Corporation ( EDC ) to establish their North American headquarters and satellite manufacturing facility at the Arlington Municipal Airport . Building off the current economic momentum at the Airport , E-space will create and fill a minimum of 400 jobs with an average salary of $ 95,000 in the first five years .
The EDC would contribute up to $ 50 million toward construction of the headquarters and manufacturing facility , which would be leased by E-space but owned by the EDC under the agreement . E-space must meet financial stability requirements outlined in the agreement .
“ This is just the right kind of project for the EDC to take on , as it ’ s consistent with the City ’ s Economic Development Strategic Plan ,” said Marty Wieder , Executive Director of the EDC . “ Both the EDC Board and City Council voted unanimously in support , recognizing that these types of well-paying , aerospace industry jobs are appropriate for the EDC ’ s mission .”
